Just curious!

I always seem to consider the number above me to be a mega family. When I had 4, I thought it was 5. Had 5 and then thought it must be 6. Now I'm having 6 and I'm convinced that 7 must be the mega family number, lol!

Here's one site's definition

A Mega Family is one which feels that a 15 passenger van isn't quite roomy enough.

A Mega Family has more than one of any major appliance.

A Mega Family looks at school buildings and churches and thinks what a great home they'd make with just a little remodeling.

A Mega Family often has children with more than one set of birth parents.

A Mega Family never takes the leaves out of the dining room table, and sometimes has more than one table.

Mom x 5

Very cute.....We have 5 deep freezers, so I find that one funny

I'm not sure what the number is. I know we have the most kids in a family in ou church, the next biggest is 5 kids...we will have 9 in the fall. At our homeschool coop, we are also the biggest, the next one is also5....so compared to them I guess we are. They all think so. But I look at families with 12 or so and, that's huge! But the number doesn't seem as crazy as before all the kiddos kept coming
Jesus loving, homeschooling, gardening lover, devoted wife to a wonderful hubby and 10 kids, ages 13 down to 12.5 months . We are expecting number 11 due January 1st, 2015.

Is mega family one step above large family?

If so I say 7 and up. Only because it's not uncommon to meet large families of 4, 5, or 6 kids but anything above that gets the wow factor. Case in point: my high school forum...there are several ladies with 5 kids but it seems like no big deal. The one mom who has 7 gets a ton of attention.

We have 2 refrigerators, because we drink so much milk. I figure it's cheaper than buying a cow LOL

I'd have to say anything more than 10 is a mega-family.

We're pretty mega up here where having three is considered freakishly large--people don't like being "inconvenienced" by more than two kids in the area we live in right now, too much money

Lucky mother to five!
