Ok.... Im 43, have 8 children ( DS23, Twins 22, DD20, Twins 8, DD7, DS5...) BUT I would really like one more!! Had a miscarriage in Dec 2010, Hubby wasn't sure about last pregnancy but as it happens I lost it anyway and we were both devasted, but now that is all I think about. Am I being silly, mad, ? am I too old? I just can't shake the feeling that I would like another baby and I just done feel like I'm done yet!!

Love to hear from you all.

IMHO you are not too old until mother nature declares you too old (menopause). I say let nature take it's course (NTNP) and see what happens. It does look like you are overdue for twins again though.

I think it is perfectly normal to want another one, like PP said. It is even more so after a loss. I think NTNP is the best way to live life. It has worked for us! Maybe we will both have twins this year!

My aunt had her first and only at age 40 and I remember she was 43 thinking about having another one...then 46 thinking she'd better decide quick These days its not as unusual.

And if it's not meant to be it looks like you have a good number of kids who are now the ages you were when you were having kids so grandchildren aren't too far away

Agreed, NTNP, it's the way to go, as long as everyone is on board. (Meaning both you and dh.)

dh and I tend to be really on board before we do anything permanent, and I think that's important in being a cohesive unit-does he know how you really feel about this? You're not too old, you're only 5 years older than I and I'm certainly not old!

Lucky mother to five!

I'm sorry I know that feeling all too well.

You and DH should sit down and have a good long talk about it..........like are you ready for midnight feedings, diapers, potty training, terrible twos...doing all those things over again. and if the answer is yes then go for it.

I get the baby fever every now and again but I know I'm done with all the above.....so just gotta hold out for the grandbabies now...I hear they are much more fun too LOL

*Thankyou Kiliki for my wonderful siggy*

Nearly 7 months since I quit smoking!!
