Let's help each other out this year by posting awesome deals we come across for gifts.

You can even post some of the items on your list so others can keep an eye out for a good deal.

If you shop on Amazon, I would highly suggest getting Amazon Prime by signing up for Amazon Mom.

Prime is basically free two-day shipping on any "Prime" labeled item (SOOO many items are Prime nowadays). Doesn'y matter if the item is a $1 shoelace or a $1,000 big screen TV. If it is a Prime item it qualifies for FREE 2-day shipping. Around this time of year Amazon has so many fantastic sales going on but it doesn't benefit you if you have to pay shipping or if you have to add more things to your cart to equal the $25 to get the Free Super Saver Shipping.

Prime benefits usually cost around $80 for the year but if you sign up for Amazon Mom and then purchase a Subscribe and Save item you will get 3 months of Amazon Prime for free. All you need to do is sign up for Amazon mom and then add a box of diapers or wipes to Subscribe and Save. The S&S will get you 20% off diapers or wipes with free shipping and you can discontinue the subscription at any time. You can subscribe for as infrequent as every 6 months.

I love PRIME!!! Not only do I shop for us but it also allows me to ship gifts to others with free shipping.

I just bought prime when I ordered the kids halloween costumes! You can also get it for free for three months here:

Amazon Mom

and here:

Amazon Student

If you get the amazon mom, if you make a certain number of purchases of baby stuff you can extend your free prime up to a year. Mine ran out finally a few months back, I bought a few things, shipping was ridiculous.

I have prime also and love it. My family will have me order for them and just ship it to them. It's really worth it if you like to shop online, which I do.

Great idea, C!

Haven't heard of Prime, maybe I'll look at it this year!

We are probably going to focus on clothes and camping gear this year. Might look for a basketball goal as the big gift.

I just learned with the Prime that you can view a large percentage of their instant watch movies for free.

I didn't know that. I have to check it out.

I do order a lot of used VHS tapes and used DVD's for my kids on Amazon from 3rd party sellers. I have paid as little as $2 shipped for some Disney movies etc. It's actually cheaper than renting them.

Wow, great ideas ladies! I love amazon mom and I still have my free subscription to Prime but I had no idea about the movies!

Also never thought about buying second hand movies on amazon. That's pretty smart thinking!

I only learned about the movies yesterday when I was looking for a stereo for my son. I've had it for about a year and just learned about it, so i jumped over here and just incase others didn't know it either. Most of the kids movies are PBS shows and a large percentage are older movies, not old; just older. Over all though not bad.

Today 11/6, Toys R Us has the Toy Story Operation game marked down to only $1.

My store opens at 9am today. You can try to order online and do an in store pick up but I think chances are slim you will get one that way since the word is out and I'm sure plenty of people will be waiting to get in and grab this deal.
