How long would you TTC before considering other options--such as adoption?

DH & i already know we would love to adopt at least one baby. We actually looked into adopting a baby my best friend took away from his parents (she's a county attorney, and one of her good friends is the baby's social worker) but for some reason dh & i were not elgibile to apply for adoption..i cant remember the reason my friend's boss gave? i think it was because we were friends wtih the social worker and attoreny involved to be honest. they said it was our ages, but his foster mom he is staying with JUST turned 20 and she is single. dh & i are fincially stable, hes almost 24 and im almost 21. but i guess it wasnt meant to be

I don't know, maybe a couple years or so. We have always talked about adopting when we were done having kids so we will most likely adopt one if things continue going like we planned.

PM to see if I am available to make a siggy - decisions will be made on a case by case basis.

My DH and I would probably wear out all of our options before we stopped TTC. However, we have already discussed adopting a child. If we have a hard time TTC this child, we might consider adopting our third child without TTC. Neither of us would have a problem with adoption, but we really would like to have one more together.

We've already explored all our options. We are currently finishing off injectible fertility meds and if we don't get pg by spring we will adopt a child in the foster care system. Our DS took 3.5 years to conceive and #2 has taken us 3 years so far. After we have one more biological (if that's possible) then we would like to adopt an older child that needs a home in 10 years or so.
