Hi everyone. I'm new to the boards. I came looking to find some encouragement and advice about following a plant-based diet while pregnant.

Our family switched to a whole foods, plant based diet last year. We've seen amazing transformation in our health. My husband has lost 100 pounds and I lost 60 pounds before this pregnancy.

We primarily follow Dr. Furhman's teaching as laid out in his books, Eat to Live and End of Diabetes.

However, I'm not finding a ton of info from him regarding pregnancy. I've hunted around a bit online and am feeling pretty confident about eating plant-based while pregnant. I'm hoping to keep the gestational diabetes away that I've battled with my last several pregnancies.

I'd love to hear your experiences eating plant-based while pregnant. Tell me how you ate, how you made sure you were getting adequate nutrition, how you dealt with critics, and just, overall, how you felt about your pregnancy.

Tracy, mom to 8+ one on the way.
