Ok .. I have to ask ... how quickly did you all lose weight after the babies were born? I ask because I lost everything I had gained with the babies (about 24 lbs) plus another lb in the first week and was thrilled with that. Then in the second week I lost another 30 lbs. I am sure most of this was water weight (since my legs, ankles and feet didn't go back to normal until about a week and a half after I delivered), but it shocked me! I was expecting to come out of this pregnancy a little better weight wise than when I started, but 30 lbs LESS than when I started without even trying seems unreal to me. Having said that I was WAY overweight (still am at almost 250 lbs), so I definitely had and have weight to lose, so maybe that is why? ... I figure it is a good jumpstart and now I have to get off my bottom and lose the rest on my own. Anyone up for a walk with the babies?

I was just wondering what was normal? I figure with twins the weight loss with delivery has to be pretty significant on average just because of the weight of the babies, fluid, and everything else that goes along with that ...

I lost about 20 lbs with the delivery. It took a while to lose the other 15 that I'd gained. I then kept losing since I was working out more, not sitting at a desk all day and BFing. I was down 15 lbs for a while, but that was a little much for me. When I quit BFing I gained back a couple pounds and now am an ideal weight.

I gained 40 and lost 20 right away and then was stuck. I went on the HCG diet and lost the 20 and an extra 20 so I'm way below my pre-preggo weight with my DD. Still want to lost another 10-15lbs and keep waiting for a good day to start the diet again. I'm being lazy.

I started at 119 lbs, gained 50something, lost 25 in the first few weeks... 15 more by 6 months and the rest by 9 months. Some of it came off quicker than I thought it would but the last 10 or so was more stubborn than I anticipated. I did a lot of walking with the girls and went to the gym most days on my lunch break once I went back to work (10 weeks).

If I could only get rid of the dang twin-skin, I'd be happy! LOL

I only gained 20lbs with my twins. I lost everything plus another 9lbs by the time they were 2 weeks old. I think a lot of it has to do with breast feeding. It burns a lot of calories. Once I went back to work and then stopped breast feeding, I gained the 9lbs back and I'm back at my original pre-baby weight. Everyone is different, but this is great motivation for you! Good luck

I started at 165lbs. When I delivered I was about 210lbs. When I stopped breastfeeding at 10 weeks I was 160lbs. The girls are almost 13 months old and I am 165lbs. Currently trying to find an affordable gym with child care!
