I'm an older sister to 1 year old identical twins and to be truthful this is my first ever encounter with twins,so I'm extremely curious about them. I really don't know much about twins since I never took basic child development course in college. But I had few questions I hope you guys could answer me. I have noticed when one of the twins gets in trouble, the other one tries to cover up for her sister or if both did something wrong, you try get one of the twins to tell on her sister, she won't say a thing. Why are they so protective of each other? Another thing that I notice, back in October one of the twins got sick and her sister was super protective of her not letting people getting near her and just keeping guard until she got better, why is that? But also I notice this loyalty doesn't transfer to "diaper accidents.",they will tell on each other when they have an accident. Why do they tell when they have an accident not when they get in trouble?
Thanks for all your help,I just want understand them better.
