Before you wanted to TTC and how long before you actually started?

If it were up to me, we would start immediately, which I didn't think I felt that way but decided today I would. I started lurking on the TTC boards. I am still so scared of losing another baby, but I also know i had 4 successful pregnancies, my body can carry to term.

I know I need to wait though. I need to pass my fitness test. So I told DH that we would try for another baby when I do pass. I am hoping I can pass before Sept. I have to lose about 30 pounds though and weight loss is not my strong point.

When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

At first we said we were going to wait 6 months to a year before we started trying again. But it flopped when I had MAJOR baby fever in January, 2 months after losing the girls. So in Feb we were NTNP, then went full force in March. Now I'm 5w3d!!! It happened 6 months after we lost the girls so I think they took what we said to heart and wouldn't let it happen sooner.

I didn't want to. I didn't want to get pregnant again. I had just spent the previous 9 months puking my guts up the entire time, I did NOT want to do it again.

But I wanted a baby, and it would take 9 months anyway, so the longer I waited to get pregnant, it would be that much longer before I had a baby in my arms.

We waited 4 months. Our first cycle TTC was unsuccessful. We ended up getting pregnant 5 months after Cora was born. Cora and Erin were 13 months apart.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog

Like Brittanie, I had pretty severe m/s, though now we know that at least some of it was the diabetes. Despite my fear of being pregnant again (I'm still afraid) we knew we wanted to try again as soon as it was safe. My OB said to wait 2-3 cycles and my gyn said that if I didn't wait 2 cycles I was guaranteed to have a miscarriage (I had hemorrhaging and an emergency D&C 5 days after Ethan was born). I also needed to get my newly diagnosed diabetes under control and lose the weight I gained with Ethan. DH wanted to wait 4-5 cycles, but we compromised on 3 as long as my OB said I was ready (which she did). I haven't lost all of the baby weight, but I've lost 12 pounds which is most of it.

Brittanie - was your m/s any better with Erin and Patrick?

Thank you Vicki for my awesome siggy!!
