Hi Everyone,

My name is Robin. It took my DH and I over a year to conceive our little boy. He is now 14 month old. We have been trying to conceive a brother or sister for him since 6-weeks postpartum. We knew it wouldn't be likely we would get pregnant right away, but we were optimistic and fighting the clock (I turn 35 this year). When we hit 10 months postpartum we met with our fertility specialist. We have been with him for three cycles now.

Our first cycle was primarily just a monitored cycle, but he did prescribe Femura just in case my body needed the boost to ovulate successfully since he suspected PCOS. Everything looked good that cycle, no PCOS, ovulated, DH sample was good, tubes were clear, but no pregnancy.

Cycle two was unmedicated and unmonitored. No pregnancy.

We are now on cycle three. I was given birth control for CD1-12 followed by Femura CD17-21. My cycle was monitored and I was directed to use the HCG trigger shot on CD31. On CD36 I had an ultrasound to verify I ovulated and I did (1 maybe 2 eggs). I am now on CD 41 with a blood pregnancy test scheduled for this Wednesday/CD 43. I used HPTs to verify the trigger shot left my system with two VERY faint lines this weekend and absolutely no line today. I know it is probably too early, but I'm feeling discouraged and having a VERY difficult time staying optimistic. I'm dreading Wednesday because I just know they are going to call with a negative result.

Well, that's my story. I would love to chat with you ladies and hopefully provide some mutual support. As I am new to this, please direct me to some boards you think I should follow/participate in.
