(((Hugs))) I remember that shocked feeling very well. I do know though that there have been many cases of success IVF with ICSI with ladies who used to pop in here and also on the MA board here on JM. In our case, we didn't even have that option (no spermies at all) but if we had found some we would have gone that route too. Good luck to you!!

Thanks Jaidynsmum for another perfect siggy!!

To give you a little hope, we were told the same thing 2 years ago- DH's count was super low and that we would not conceive naturally and that IVF was our only option. This was pretty shocking to us at the time b/c our son was 17 months old and we had conceived him naturally after about 6 months TTC.

Long story short, I put DH on a hardcore vitamin regimine (you can pm me if you want it) and he also had varicocele surgery. I conceive 3 months after the surgery (his counts and motility were improved but still low), but miscarried. It took another year and 3 failed IUIs, but we conceived naturally again and I am now 22 weeks pregnant. Doctors can be VERY pessimistic about MFI. It doesn't hurt to pursue MA, but there are things you can do to improve things and keep trying on your own. I know how hard it is though, it took us over 2 years to conceive this baby and we had started the adoption process and really pretty much given up hope.
