Hello ladies. I don't usually post here but of course I'm busy dreaming and hoping that our new little bean will be a girl so am thinking of names and would like your opinions.

DH will probably veto this, but what do you think of Amalia Rose nn Milly?

We already have Alexander Jack who we call Alex.

We live in Holland at the moment so I like the idea of having a link to the Dutch without necessarily choosing a particularly Dutch name (the crown prince is Willem Alexander and his daughter is Amalia). It might seem a bit cheesy to the Dutch I work with, but when we get home, most people won't realise.

I like Amalia more than Amelia.

Amalia Rose is very pretty. Rose is a very common middle name, but it sounds nice with Amalia.

Thanks everyone. You've given me the confidence to suggest this to DH.

I like Amelia too, but prefer Amalia because of the Dutch connection. Rose was my grandmother's name. When I was born my parents tossed a coin for my middle name and my other grandmother (Jean) won. The plan was the next grand-daughter would have Rose as her middle name but that never happened. I feel like I owe it to her

I really like the name Amalia, it is a very Spanish name. (Then I realised that the princess of Holland is Argentinian!!), I prefer Amalia to Amelia, and that it mena ssomething to you from your time in Holland makes it even more special. Amalia and Amaia are on my list.
