On a board I frequent, there is a sibset of 4 children with "G" names

What I don't get is why they did a Graycen and a Grae?

But... Grae is totally growing on me.

I dont think i would use Grayson and Gray (spelling changes aside) seems a little to close to me

I do like the name Grey/Gray for a boy but im not a fan of the Grae spelling

i also like Gabe but as a NN for Gabriel

Yeah, for a little while now Gray/Grey has really grown on me. But, I like it as a nn for Grayson/Greyson and I'm not really a fan of the Grae spelling.

And, I like Gracelyn better than Graycen for a girl.

Yeah, Grae and Graycen are very similiar. Some people really like a certain sound/syllabe, or even full name, and use it more than once with their sibsets. My husband's middle name is his youngest brother's first name. I know a family of kids named Jordan, Megan, and Brayden. All ending in that --en sound.

Thank-you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

I used to really like Grey but now I think it's kinda gloomy. I don't think I could actually give a kid a name like Grey because I think a lot of the names I like are "happy" names and it's just too somber for me now.

Obviously, I love Greyson but for a boy if it suits his as he grows, he could be Grey for a nn. I would not consider naming a child anything that sounds that close!

I like Grayson/Greyson for a boy but not a girl.
I also think the Graycen and Grae names together in the same family is a bit strange.

I don't like Gabe. It's our cat's name so I can't see it on a person anymore. I don't like Graycen for a girl I much prefer Gracelynn. Greyson for a boy though is nice. I don't really think Grae is too close being that this Graycen is a girl's name. But who knows. She might want to go by Gray in the future, then they'd run into a problem.

I think its a bit close, but I guess it "depends" on pronunciation. Graycen for a girl is more like Grace-En, instead of Grey-Son... which I guess is close enough from Gray to use Grae as well. I personally would not use it, since they are so many other G names out there. In highschool, I was friends with a guy (Greg) who was one of 9 who all had a name starting with G. They were all very different names too.

Thank you, Jaidynsmum, for the amazing siggy
