are there any names out there that are strongly a nationality name?

i dont mean like.. Michael bc its hebrew.. i mean the names that SCREAM a certain nationality..

i LOVE the name Alessandro.. but its to long for me to use for a first name

There are tons! I seem to really like names that are Russian or German or Scandinavian or other European nationalities. Some of the names from my list that are very much associated with other nationalities are:

Ghislaine (tres Francais!)

There are many more that I love as well!

I love Gianna, but I keep hearing from the inlaws it's too Italian. DH and I are NOT Italian but I love the name!!

I like Caius, Inger, Ingrid, Brigitte, Marguaritte, and Olga. Our last name is Swedish, but even discounting the fact that DH's dad was adopted.. we're just not Swedish, lol. We don't know anything about Sweden. So while INger and Ingrid would work with our last name, it doesn't work with us.

I think Pedro and Pablo sound a little too ethnic to borrow.
