I just hit 20 weeks today and now I'm having the hardest time trying to stay team green. I found out the day I turned 20 weeks with my daughter. I then went crazy getting personalized things with her name all over it. I really want to stay team green but I started thinking about all those cute things we had with her name on it for the hospital. Tell me to stay strong!

Anyways, I'm having such a hard time narrowing our list. Let alone deciding on one name! If you could eliminate one name from our list, which would it be & why?

Klara (yes, this spelling only. DH insists)

Well, I'm no help in the encouraging you to stay team green since I'm a planner and absolutely HAD to know with mine I like so many of the names on your list! Here are the ones I'd eliminate:

Mary-Cate: Reminds me of the Olsen twins, and you have other names that are far more interesting on your list.

Jacqueline: Not a fan of the nn Jackie

John: like it better as a mn, kind of boring to me as a fn, especially in comparison to some of the others on your list!

Maguire: I can think of it only as a surname because of Toby Maguire (actor) and Mark Maguire (baseball star).

Mitchell: I don't care for the nn Mitch, and I've taught several Mitchell's over the years, all of whom were little PITA's!! So, it's a name that carries a bad association for me!

My absolute FAVORITES from your list:
Georgiana, Klara, Norah, Emmeline

Donovan, Easton, Beckett
Mommy to two beautiful boys, watched over by two angels in heaven

I love Norah (but I prefer Nora) for a girl, and John Fletcher for a boy. none of the other names really do anything for me.

Thanks ladies! Lori, I really like your suggestion of John Fletcher, I'll be sure to mention that to DH.

I would eliminate....

Georgiana -- while I like Georgia, I've always felt Georgiana, Georgina, etc. were a bit of an overkill for me

Fiona -- I use to like this name but now there is something about it that doesn't really appeal to me anymore

Jacqueline -- never been a fan, sorry!

Mary-Cate -- I like Cate, Caitlin and Catherine but I'm not crazy about Mary-Cate

Edward -- just not a fan of the full name or the possible nicknames

John -- seems a little incomplete as a full name

My favorites are....
Emmeline and Beckett
Cortney...mom to A, C, E, L, I, and R

When I'm Due...

When I think this baby will actually come out

It would help my decision if I knew your daughter's name as I like names to go well together. Just going by my personal tastes I'd eliminate Tallulah and John. Tallulah is just nms and I can't imagine it aging well and John is too common and plain IMO (unless you are using it to honor a family member). My favorites are: Calista, Emmeline, Norah & Fletcher.
