what do you think of the name aven for a girl?

The girl's name Aven \a-ven\ is of English origin, and the meaning of Aven is "mountain avens". Name of a plant with white, yellow or reddish flowers.

I like Aven. Of course....Raven was on my list when I was 12-13 and then Haven replaced it for the next few years. I just like the "Aven" sound so....I love it, actually.

It's pretty. One of those names I wouldn't choose myself, but would think was pretty on somebody else's child.

It's pretty! But I think I prefer Avenley/Avenleigh better. I don't think I would use it, just nms.

i actually am really starting to love it (although i haven't even mentioned it to DH yet). i wouldn't be able to do avenley/avenleigh since i already have marlee & that's a little too much "lee/ley/leigh" for me

Is it a soft a like in Gavin, without the G? or is it a strong a like in Able?

If it's a soft A like the beginning of Aven(ue) then I love it.

Never heard it before and sounds graceful and strong at the same time.

Come visit MY BLOG but don't mention pregnancy in the comments please!
