NMS. MY name is Elizabeth, and I have always gone by Liz, so I am probably biased! I know that even if I intended to call my child Elsa, I would end up calling her Els becasue I shorten everything!

I like Elsa on it's own. I don't think it works as a nick name for Elizabeth. Unless maybe you spelled it Elisabeth? But it's still a stretch IMO.

There are many other nn's for Elizabeth that I like better. Libby, Liz, Lizzie, Ellie, Eliza, Beth, Elle...

Well, it's traditionally a nickname for Elizabeth, so I don't get how it's a stretch. I really love Elsa. I find it sweet. It's the nickname I'd use if I had an Elizabeth. Or maybe Betsy.
