Jody / Jodie / Jodi

Jody - Meaning of the boy name Jody at Baby Names Pedia

WDYT of the name?
What gender do you prefer it on?

My father's name is Joe D. -----
I don't know why it never occured to me that this might be a good honoring name. I think I like it, but I'm not sure. It doesn't really fit my style for naming.

Hmm. I can only see Jody as a nickname on a boy, maybe for Josiah or something.

However, on a girl, it sounds kind of country bumpkin. I can't say I like it.

Jody is not my style.

I 100% see it as a girls name.

I like the idea that you are trying to honor your dad.
Please vote on my baby names.

Fabulous siggy made by Typical Vampire, thank you much!

I really like Jody for a boy, actually. On a girl, it seems flimsy and dated. On a boy, it seems cute and comfy, but a little bit nick-namey.

I only like Jody on a boy. For me, Jodi/Jodie are dated attempts to turn in into a girl's name.

For me, it is on the list with names like Casey, Quinn, Skylar and Sidney. They seem slight on a girl, but feel more substantial and appealing for boys. I'm not ready to give up on them yet, lol.

I like it and it is 100% girl to me. I prefer the spelling Jodie or Jodi. I don't care for it with a y.
