Ok, so DH and I have had the name Scott Anthony picked out for a while. But now that I know baby is a boy I am not 100% sold on that name. We also had Derick James. But again, not sure about it. THen my DS came up with Jake and I think it sounds good with Henry for a MN. A little help maybe? Would you ladies mind giving me your opinions? Even new names are great...I am so tired of looking up names in those lists...
Helpful info:
DS#1 is John Robert- Named after DH's Uncle and Father respectively
DS#2 is Luke Thomas- First name came out of nowhere and Mn is my Dad
DD- Natalie Rose-Just cuz it was pretty.
My Name is Rebecca Marie, DH is Christopher William
We don't want to do a Jr., and our last name starts with a D and is 2 syllables.
I think that covers it...thanks ahead of time for your help!

I'm not a big fan of nick names as given names (Jake versus Jacob), so my choice would be Scott (plus I just like Scott). Are there any other males in your family to honor? Do you have a brother or an uncle? Otherwise I'd go with Scott William, just to keep the "boys named after family members" theme going.

All my brothers are pretty young (22, 7 and 5) so naming one of my kids after them wouldn't work too well As far as uncles go I have James, Damien, Aaron, Blake and Cameron. DH does not like James for a FN nor do either of us like Aaron (not to mention that his Uncle has 11 kids and they all have names that start with 'A'.
I am just having such a hard time finding that name that gives me that feeling KWIM?

How about Mark William? To me, Mark has the same feel as your other boys. William would be after your DH.

Thank you to pattyandthemoos for the beautiful siggie!

I like the idea of the boys all having one syllable names but I think Jake is really close to John and to Luke. It's like a combo of those two names. Plus I agree everyone would assume it's Jacob.

Love the idea of Scott I like Scott Anthony or Scott William or Scott Christopher.

I like Scott, Jake is nice too but a bit too close to Luke. I also like Derek, how about Drake?

My son is named Scott, so I love the name! It's strong and very uncommon these days. Jacob/Jake is EVERYWHERE! It's been #1 on social security list of names for 12 years and top 20 for the past 21 years!

Other ideas if you don't want to use Scott:

Grant Anthony
Chase Anthony
Clay Anthony
Bryce Anthony

Personally, my favorite combo of the names you listed is Henry Jake / Henry Jacob. It is so handsome, and classic! Thus, I feel as it if goes fantastically with your other kids names.

John, Luke, Natalie and ...

Dh and I talked and he has just decided to start calling him Scott. I am getting more used to it. We have run into an issue with the middle name tho. Orignally we had chosed Scott Anthony-and even tho his initials would be S.A.D we have come to terms with that. Now tho, DH has brought up the name Brayden. The reason for this is b/c one of his sisters had a stillborn a couple years ago and his name was Brayden. I think DH has a strong connection to him because he did a lot for the funeral arrangements, inlcuding building his final resting place and being there to place him in it. His sister had asked him to hold the baby and place things inside...he really was hit hard by it adn the fact that we had 2 sons and were pg with a little girl at the time made it especially sad. Anyways, we have not asked permission to use the name yet, but if they say ok, would Scott Brayden D. suond ok or would it be better to use 2 middle names..Scott Anthony Brayden or Scott Brayden Anthony?
