Hi there, I used to be a member awhile back. Just recently surprised by the fact that we are having baby #5 in February.
I know I have plenty of time to think about baby names, but for the life of me I cannot find one boy name I like. Thank God I only have one boy. When I was pregnant with my last we had our boy named picked out and LOVED it. I do still love the name but here's the deal. When we found out we were having a girl, my grandmother stole my name for her stupid dog. I was SO angry with her. I asked her why she would do that and she said to me, because you're having a girl and I doubt you will have any more because you have enough. So now here I am pregnant again and really want my name back
BTW, the name is Sebastian Christopher.
Thank you Jaidynsmum!

Use it. I wouldn't let my grandmother's dog keep me from using a name that felt like the one.

Dogs do not last near as long as humans. He'll be around for, what, 15 years if he's a perfectly healthy dog?

A week after we finalized my DS1's name (when I was about halfway through my pregnancy), we found out Dh's aunt got a dog and used the same name. We didn't care. We still used it.
Thank-you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

It's a great name, and your grandmother was really rude to tell you that you have enough kids!

Just use it. Your kid will out-live your grandmother's dog, and she can always change the dog's name. It's a dog - he can learn a new one!
