I live in the US, but was curious if Chelsea/Chelsey is a unisex name in Australia. My sister knows a boy whose name is Chelsey and his mom is from Australia, and when I did a search on male Chelsea/Chelsey's I came across another guy with the name Chelsea from New Zealand.

I've never heard of this as a given name on a boy, but I've seen it as a surname before. However, I'm also from the states.

I'm from the states. I have never personally known a boy named Chelsea, but I have heard/seen it used on a boy.

Thanks for the replies. I've also only ever heard of the name used on girl's so I am curious how this boy ended up with a girl's name. I've asked my sister to see if she can find out
