My husband and I are back to picking out names. We are unsure of a due date yet until the u/s in two weeks. Our DD3 is Maggie Jo and our favorite boy name is Lincoln Archer. DH wants to spell it Linkin his reasoning is that we are Linkin Park fans and we chose the name to because it was different so we should spell it different too. WDYT?

Also girl names we cannot agree. We both like names that aren't too mainstream here are some faves so far, but middle names are really up for suggestion. I'd like your honest opinions:

Aspen Jade
Quincy Lynn
Callie Grace
Lucy (MN???)
Charlie Anne

Coming soon...... Linkin Archer

I do not like Lincoln spelled wrong. If you like the name because it's different, spelling it wrong isn't going to make it MORE different - just wrong. Lincoln is a nice name, and I love Archer.

As for the girl names:
Aspen Jade - I'm not sure I the double "word name" usage. I like Aspen a lot, but maybe paired with something else.
Aspen Charlotte
Aspen Amelia
Aspen Mariana
Aspen Lucille
Aspen Lucinda

Quincy Lynn - Not a huge fan. I don't like Lynn as a middle name because I feel like it's over used. Same with Grace, Anne, and Rose. I prefer Quinn to Quincy, because I think Quincy is more for boys. Quincy Lynn is way better than Quinn Lynn, though!

Callie Grace - Callie is a nickname to me. I love Calla, and Caroline, though. Grace is overused as a middle name, IMO, but I like it as a name.

Lucy - I love the name Lucy, and I think it sounds great with a variety of nick names.
Lucy Caroline
Lucy Cadence
Lucy Madeline
Lucy Marie
Lucy Mercedes
Lucy Charlotte

Charlie Anne - Charlie is a nick name. I don't mind it on girls when it's short for something, but on it's on, it's not for me. Anne is overused as a middle name, IMO. Charlie could be short for Charlotte.

I have to agree on keeping Lincoln spelled the normal way. Just really don't like Linkin (reminds me of LinkedIn) and remember he's going to have to have this name when he's 80 & no one has heard of Linkin Park.

Aspen Jade - Love
Quincy Lynn - Ok
Callie Grace - Ok
Lucy (MN???) --- LOVE! LOVE!!! (ok a little biased on this one )
Charlie Anne - Like

Lucy Elizabeth
Lucy Grace
Lucy Ann
Lucy Renee

My 2 miracles: Lucinda & Noah

I like Lincoln, but only this spelling as a persons name... love the name Archer!
For the girls I like Lucy and Aspen.

how about Aspen Lucy, Aspen Quinn, Aspen Paige, Aspen Paz... Lucy Quinn, Lucy Corinne, Lucy Willow, Lucy Vivienne, Lucy Adele

Lincoln I like spelled as Lincoln because Linkin just looks made-up and not as professional as Lincoln, in my opinion.

Aspen Jade - It's not really my style but I like it on someone else's kid.

Quincy Lynn - Quincy to me is a boy's name, so it's not my style for a girl.

Callie Grace - This is a nickname to me, but I like it as a nickname for Callista, Carolyn/Caroline, Camille/Camilla, Calliope.

Lucy - I love this name. It's a nickname for one of the name's I've chosen for my top name list.

Lucy Estelle
Lucy Selene
Lucy Eloise
Lucy Ariel
Lucy Camille
Lucy Delilah
Lucy Arden
Lucy Juliette
Lucy Charlotte
Lucy Eleanore
Lucy Claire
Lucy Melody
Lucy Celeste
Lucy Abigail
Lucy Gabrielle
Lucy Evelyn
Lucy Alice
Lucy Sage
Lucy Marie
Lucy Kathleen
Lucy Caprice
Lucy Sinead
Lucy Pearl

Charlie Anne - Charlie to me is a nickname for either Charles or Charlotte.

I like Lincoln Archer but I wouldn't spell it Linkin.

Aspen Jade is ok
Qunicy Lynn- I like Quincy but Lynn to me is an overused mn.
Lucy is not my style.
Callie Grace is ok but Grace is like Lynn to me. Overused in my opinion.
Charlie Ann is cute. Not my style and Ann to me is in the overused category also.

My nephews name is Linkin for the exact same reason, lol.

Personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Aspen Jade. Second favorite would be Quincy, but not the Lynn. Too many 'L's and 'N's maybe? There's something visibly unappealing about the combination.

How about ...

Quincy Shannon
Quincy Alexa
Quincy Cecelia
Quincy Brianne
Quincy Isabel
Quincy Skylar

and for Lucy..

Lucy Meredith
Lucy Roxanne
Lucy Harper
Lucy Zariah
Lucy Cadence
Lucy Aaliyah

I like Lincoln Archer and spelled the correct way. He's going to be using his name on countless job applications, school applications, and the like. Lincoln looks more professional and brings to mind more positive attributes.

Aspen Jade - I like these names well enough on their own, but not together.
Quincy Lynn - I like Quinn for a girl, but feel too strongly that Quincy is a boy/man's name. Quinn would be beautiful paired with a longer, feminine name. Quinn Elizabeth. Quinn Suzanne. Quinn Katherine.
Callie Grace - it's okay, but I'm not a huge fan.
Lucy (MN???) - This is my favorite from your list! I have mn suggestions below.
Charlie Anne - I love Charlie on a girl as a nickname. Do you like Charlotte, or even Charlize, as a full name?

I think Maggie Jo and Lucy Jane would make such cute sister names. Other mn suggestions for Lucy:

Lucy Alexandra
Lucy Calista
Lucy Evelyn
Lucy Fiona
Lucy Gwyneth
Lucy Helena
Lucy Jillian
Lucy Kate
Lucy Katherine
Lucy Norah
Lucy Penelope
Lucy Raschelle
Thank-you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

I think Callie Grace and Charlie Anne are great sister names for Maggie Jo! Lucy also goes well.

I like Lincoln spelled this way.

I am so happy for all the responses. Now that I've gotten your honest opinions I can say that I do not like the spelling Linkin either. I've been fighting it from the beginning. That being said, I'll give you my opinion on the other names as well. You know how sometimes a thought or a feeling just sticks with a name? These are my first impression thoughts on these names:

Aspen Jade - Makes me think of a stripper. I'm sorry to all those who like the name but first impression is stripper. Also I do not want a nickname of AJ
Quincy Lynn - Not sure on this I agree Lynn is over used.
Callie Grace - I love Callie and Grace but not together and Grace is too overused for us.
Lucy (MN???) - I LOVE the name Lucy and always have. DH does not at all.
Charlie Anne - Love this but DH doesn't like boy names on girls.

So, I guess its back to the drawing board for us

Coming soon...... Linkin Archer

I love Callie, what about combining two middle names and naming her Callie Gracelyn. I think it's really pretty and original!
