I am most likely having a girl (though the next ultrasound may change that! In which case we will probably go for William), and I need a name that works in French primarily, and in English too.
We both really like Héloïse/Eloïse, the spelling with the H is the one that has the most history and is a classic name, but Eloïse is starting to be popular here too so both would work. We both have a slight preference for the spelling with the H, but we are concerned that family & friends in the US and UK would be confused for pronounciation.

As a middle name we are thinking Charlotte. Our last name starts with an M if you can think of any reasons to go with one or the other based solely on initials.

Love Eloise! And Eloise Charlotte is beautiful!

I would be concerned that the US folks might pronounce the H in Heloise. Good Housekeeping has a Hints from Heloise. I've seen her intereviewed & she pronounces it hel o weeze.
