I know there are mixed opinions as to androgynous names on females, especially when they're more "masculine" feeling. Wdyt of these names on females? Do they work? Too masculine?

Rowan or Teague are the only ones I'd consider. I'm a preschool teacher and I teach a girl named Elliette and she's one of my favorites so I've become partial to that name.

I would consider Rowan, Brynnan, or Elliott.

One of my best friends is named Elizabeth but she has gone by Eli for as long as I've known her. To me, it works very well for a girl because of her.

I wouldn't use them myself but out of those I think these work...

Carsyn and Miller are two that I like.
Cortney...mom to A, C, E, L, I, and R

When I'm Due...

When I think this baby will actually come out

I have heard of a female Mason, Tanner, Keaton, Bennet and Elliott before only know one of each. I think Rowan is the one most commonly used for a girl.

I like Rowan & Teague on girls. I've seen Cooper used for a girl.

I love this type of style for girls! Feels spunky to me! Here are my likes/dislikes:

Bennett- dislike on a girl bc of the Ben nn

Jameson- like; I know a female Jamison, so it has a feminine feel to me

Rowan- this is all girl to me

Keaton- love

Sutton- this feels more boy to me

Mason- dislike

Eli- boy

Brennan/Brynnan- I could see this on a girl, but I don't really like it

Bryce- boy!

Tanner- cute on a girl

Chandler- was on my girl list

Teague- like

Elliot- liking this more and more on a girl

Reed- I know a girl Reed, so I like it!

I like Bennett, Elliot, and Reed out of your masculine girl names. Benny, Ellie, Reed all NN nicely (I'm thinking of a few others that sound great, too!).

About the name Jameson.. I've mentioned on the boards before that I don't like it because of its alcohol connotations.. Does that not bother others about it? I feel that way about all kinds of names that are brands or types of liquor or wine. I agree that it has a nice ring but I just can't get past the booze aspect. IMO

Rowan is the only one I would use on a girl.

I do know a 6 year old girl named Jamison.

I like some androgynous names on girls but not any of the ones you listed (although I like many of them for boys).
