It is listed as a boy name (I know son of Emery) but I see it as more feminine. Do you consider it strictly a boy's name? I am considering Emerson Rae and Emerson Jane for a girl (Jane is MIL's MN)

I really love the name Emerson!!! - I like the nickname Emmy for it as well

As far as nicknames go the two you have are alright but they dont quite flow to me - I like Emerson Rae better - but maybe with a name that is boy/girl a more girly middle name is better? I think it is beautiful though!

Emerson is all boy. I really don't like it on a girl.

I love the name Emerson for a girl! I think it's very pretty. It was actually one of the first names that I suggested but my SO turned it down I also like the spelling Emersyn (might make it sound a little more "girly"

I'd probably do Emmerson and call her Emmie. For some reason 2 m's make it look girlier to me. I loved this name and had it on my list but my husband is against -son ending names for girls.

I love the name Emerson, but for a boy, to me it's a boy name.

I see Emerson as a boy name. I think people started associating it with girls because of Emily and Emma, but it's a boy name.
Thank you Babydoll213 for the precious siggy!
