I knew if we had a girl the middle name would be Jean because it is a family name (the middle name of myself, my mom and my grandmother). So, we looked for a name that we loved that would go with that (and also that we were OK with the ititials, the meaning, and the common nicknames).

DD: Alexandra Jean
Me: Amanda Jean
Mom: Martha Jean
Grandmother: Marilyn Jean

Because this was the case for the girl, DH wanted our boys name to have his middle name so we did the same thing just in case we ended up with a boy instead.

We were at a baby store and on the checkout counter they had a display of hair barrettes with names on them. DH saw "Paige" and said "ooh I like that". I took note of it. Paige wasn't even on my radar at that point. I really didn't even think I'd ever be considering it but I knew he liked it so I decided to compromise.

I pick middle names that I think sound good with the first name. I love the middle name Rose not only because I think it's beautiful..even thought it's so popular now...but it was also my grandmother's name. I also like the mn's

None of these I would use as a first name but I'm definately considering for a mn.

Formerly known as "mommynina"

Thank you Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy!
