Normally, I wouldn't mess with a perfectly good name but I have my reasons for considering it...I have a step-sister named Katelyn that sometimes goes by Katie. I haven't seen said "sister" in 8 years and I'm not sure if I ever will again. She has pretty much disowned our whole family and wants nothing to do with us despite repeated attempts to reach out to her. DF can't hardly agree on anything for this baby but we do both like Katie. However, I just don't want my baby to associated with my step-sister, if that makes sense.

We may not even use the name but if we do, I would like to spell it different. Any suggestions or should I just scrap it all together?

you could spell it was a 'c'? caitlynn, catelyn. or a variation of that name...catalina, kathryn, cathleen, etc.

parentsconnect.com is a great site for looking up names. if you look up a name it'll give you tons of info about it plus alternatives for spelling and stuff- hope that helps

I like Cady, it has the same sound but is different enough to not be associated with your sister
