Need suggestion for baby boy name (indian baby boy)
we have finalized 2 names
1) Bhrigu or brigu from indian mythological saint
2) Moryan or mauryan ( from Mauryan dynasty of india - from chandragupta maurya)
My question is which will be more acceptable name for north american culture as boy's name

Moryan will probably be heard as Morgan often.

how are you pronouncing bhrigu? I see that being a slight problem. I find it interesting though.

Maury is an old male name, so maybe mauryan isn't too much of a stretch, however, it may be that it's heard as Mariann, which is all girl, so I'm not sure.

Brigu would be the easier spelling for phonetics, I think.

When I read them both at first I was not sure how to pronounce either. I agree that Mauryan is similair to Maury but could be pronounced Mary-Ann accidentally.
