She was Alexandra from the day we found out she was a girl (and even before, I'd call my bump Alex) until the day she was born.

Nope, ours was set in stone the day we found out we were having a girl (the full combo, we knew her first name before we knew the sex of the baby).

My son's first name was set in stone from the time we found out he was a boy, but dh and I never really agreed on the middle name & I had to fill out the birth certificate while I was in the hospital by myself & made the final decision for us about a day after he was born! (But since I decided to use dh's fn as my son's mn, there were no complaints!)

My friend was told she was having a girl and was going to name her Cassandra. Well, she delivered a boy and named him Dominic, without having even considered boy's names.

When I had my son 13 years ago we didn't know the sex but we had agreed:
BOY- Matthew Thomas
GIRL-Brittany Marie

Well, after he was born he had to go to NICU so a nurse explained to me why he needed to go there...blah, blah, blah. I think to try to stop me from crying she asked me if we had any names picked out and, out of the blue, I said: I like the name Riley. When the nurse went to leave she said "Enjoy Riley" and just the way she said it made me fall in love.

We named him Riley Thomas.

LMAO! So funny you should post this! We are last minute changers right now. My baby will be here in 55 days and last night we just decided we didn't like this her name anymore. LOL so now we are on the search for the perfect name....

He takes her from the home she knows to lands of which are new. Survival is an unknown place, becomes her test of truth. Her burdens of many and his tanks sometimes are small. She keeps her faith through thick and thin and makes the best of all. She lives with some uncertainty, knows not what dawn may bring, but he knows nothing stops his girl from doing anything. Whether star or stripe or bar adorns his collar or his strife, nothing means more to a soldier than the one he calls his wife.

One of my best friends had the name Adam all picked out - but came home from the hospital with Aaron - she said he just didn't look like Adam.
