DH has decided he wants to give our next child a first name that reflects his heritage as he is very fond of his roots and wishes he had a more 'Spanishy' Name [Andrew Julio]. I have agreed as i think it is a lovely idea.

The names we have picked out are:

Marisol Amaya
Carlos Julio

Do you think either of these will sound off with our other childrens names as they all have indiscript names:

P.s what do you think of Marisol + Carlos [we picked names that aren't too out there so that they don't sound iffy or anything]
Laci Grace [S.A.H.M] to
Jacob Gabriel [8]
Darcie Katalina & Stella Arielle [6]
Liam John Silas [4]
Nathaniel James [3]
Laiken Sofia Paige [1]
Kerry Ivy Rose [6weeks]

My Nephew Daniel Dean is 3weeks old!!

I can't even think about the names... I'm stuck on the fact that this is baby #7 for you ! You must be a VERY strong, patient person. But yes, all kidding aside, they are very nice names. I wouldn't worry about them not going with the others... you can always name #'s 8 & 9 names to go with them! (kidding of course.. I wish I had the patience and energy to have a big family)

I went to school with a girl named Marisol and this was her mother's name too. I think they are both great names. And I think if you want to go with something different this time- that's great too. Being baby #7- at least he/she will have something all his or her own, KWIM?? Good luck!

I think is is perfectly fine to use different styles of names for your next child(ren). People change, and a person's naming style can change two. I think the two names you have picked out are just fine

First off, I love the name Marisol, its so pretty! Carlos is nice too. I always thought the name Stella had kind of a spanish 'flavor' so to me I think its fine to use them (even without Stella it still would be fine)

I think Marisol is very beautiful!

Not too big on Carlos, though ... sorry.

I would say that you've already changed naming styles some. I wouldn't expect Laiken and Nathaniel to be siblings, for example. Nathaniel is classic and descriptive; Laiken is very modern and has a popular sound. For that reason I don't see any reason to try to find a name that "fits". Marisol or Carlos (or another Spanish boys' name? ) fits fine.

I extremely dislike this idea.
I would go with a more subtle spanish name, Carlos is a little strong.
Maybe a Joaquin or a Catalina...
