Would you spell it Eleanor or Elinor? Which nn would you use?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like Eleanor a lot, but am a bit afraid to use it with all of the Ellas, Elles, and Ellies floating around. I love the way that Elinor looks, and appriciate that that was the way it was spelled in Ella Enchanted. I prefer Nora as a nn.
Eleanor. I don't know about a nickname. I'd probably just call her Eleanor!
I have the same problem ... someone, somewhere will call her Ellie and I'll have a total meltdown.
Then I also have an aunt named Ellen. She's nice enough but she would go out of her way to make sure everyone knows "the baby was named after her" (it would NOT be but she's weird like that). Then we'd have hurt feelings when the next wasn't "named after" a different aunt or uncle.
I don't think I'll use it for those reasons but it's lovely. If the El- names weren't so popular I might.
Oh wow, I don't like Eleanor at all.
I like Elin but not Elinor. My favorite variant is obviously Lenore or Lenora.
Not a fan of Eleanor or Elinor. I LOVE Nora, but on its own.
