I need your honest opinions about our final name choices for our surprise baby due this month. I am only giving the first name since the mn is set in stone (family name) and we don't care about the flow. Please be brutally honest and offer opinions of all names I list. I'm really curious about what the general public thinks about our choices. We also need help narrowing!

Charlotte (nn Charlie)
Margaret (nn Maggie or Meg)

Maxwell (nn Max)
Bennett (nn Ben)
Elijah (nn Eli)
William (nn Will)---I can't decide if Amelia and William sound bad together (say them out loud)
-married to Jason 12-16-2005
-mommy to Amelia (2006) and Charlotte (2007)
-expecting miracle #3!!!

Charlotte (nn Charlie)- Beautiful!
Margaret (nn Maggie or Meg)- Also lovely
Sadie- pretty, but too nicknamie for my taste. I can't see it aging well
Claire- very nice
Gabriella- my least favorite because it is getting popular and I don't like the nn Gabby.

Maxwell (nn Max)- nice
Bennett (nn Ben)- I LOVE this it's my favorite boy name right now.
Isaac- also nice
Elijah (nn Eli)- love
William (nn Will)- LOVE with the nn Liam. I think it sounds fine with Amelia.

I'm not much help because I love most of the names on your list but my favorites are probably Charlotte and Bennett. I love Amelia and Charlotte together!

Charlotte- I like it, and Charlie is a cute nickname.
Margaret- love it!
Sadie- it sounds nicknamey to me (it was originally a nn for Sarah), and it reminds me of the word sadistic. This is the only name on your list that I don't really like.
Claire- also love it.
Gabriella- very pretty

Maxwell - nice.
Bennett - I love this name, especially with the nickname Ben.
Isaac- I like it.
Elijah- it's O.K.
William - I like it. Amelia and William sound good together.

My favorite of your girls choices is Gabriella, I like it because it is very pretty and has a lot of nn options. My second choice would be Claire, its cute and fresh sounding. Charlotte I like but I still always think "Charlotte the Harlot" Sadie, sounds too much like a pet name to me (know many pets named this and only ever met one person with this name) Margaret just doesn't sound very pretty to me.

My favorite choice for boys is Bennett, it's on my list and I really like the nn Ben. Next I'd go with William, and I think it sounds fine with Amelia. I would pick Max next, but I don't care for Maxwell. Isaac and Elijah are ok but NMS.

Charlotte (nn Charlie)- Love Charlotte. Sounds glamorous and professional. Dislike Charlie. Sounds like a boys name.
Margaret (nn Maggie or Meg)- Very old fashioned. NMS
Sadie - Very pretty. I picture a petite girl. I also think of a golden retriever. Wouldn't use it for my daughter.
Claire- Pretty! It's classic but a bit boring.
Gabriella- LOVE IT! I really like this one a lot. It's on the top of our list. Love the nicknames and the glamorous feel to it.

Maxwell (nn Max)- It's okay. Reminds me of the coffee.
Bennett (nn Ben)- Not big on this one.
Isaac- My favorite choice of your boys names! I love it!
Elijah (nn Eli)- I like this one a lot, too. I love the nickname choice.
William (nn Will)- Too old fashioned sounding. Dislike Will.

Well, I've never cared for the old fashioned names, so the only name from your list I like is Gabriella. I know it's kind of old fashioned too, but it doesn't sound old ladyish to me. I think of a beautiful, spunky little girl.

For a boy, I LOVE Bennett! I actually have it on my list too. I've never cared for Max, because there are so many dogs named Max, and it's so generic. William is boring and common too......Isaac and Elijah are fine.

HTH, and good luck with your baby!!

Oh, and I think that Amelia and Gabriella make a cute sibset. They're similar without being too matchy.

Charlotte (nn Charlie)
IMO Charlotte goes best with Amelia. They are both somewhat old-fashioned, but fresh-sounding names. Not sure on nn Charlie... but then again, nicknames tend to develop on their own so Charlie may fit her and it may not...
Margaret (nn Maggie or Meg) Margaret is not my personal favorite name of the "old fashioned" or "traditional" names... but I do like Maggie and Meg
Sadie IMO Sadie is beautiful and NOT a pet's name at all. I knew a Sadie in high school and have a great association as that Sadie was very pretty, nice, and athletic.
Claire I like it, it's pretty and you wouldn't go wrong with it... it doesn't bowl me over, but I do like it.
Gabriella It is WAY too popular right now for my tastes. Yes, it's a very beautiful name... just there's soooo many of them right now.

Maxwell (nn Max)
Max actually does strike me as a pet's name... not my favorite
Bennett (nn Ben) This is cute! I really like nn Ben a lot... and I think Amelia and Bennett are a cute sib set
Isaac Not a fan, NMS personally
Elijah (nn Eli) I like it a lot, it used to be on the top of my list too
William (nn Will)---I can't decide if Amelia and William sound bad together (say them out loud) I don't think the two names sound bad together, however, William just doesn't light my fire. It is pretty boring compared to your other, cuter boy names.

My faves are Charlotte and Bennett. Hope that helps! Let us know what you choose!
