Hi everyone!
Just wondering if people have names that will be good when the child older, but might not work when they are a baby?

I really like the same Seth, but I can't see myself calling a baby Seth. Same with Rowan... do you try to come up with a nn that you like? Or scrap the name completely?

I have a nephew named Seth and I never felt odd calling a baby Seth.

If there was a name I felt that way about, I'd keep it in mind and see if it "fit" when the baby was born. Maybe you'll decide it works fine on a baby, maybe not. I'd just have a backup name in case it doesn't!

I think that you should just go with the name that you like, even if you can't picture it on a baby. Your son/daughter will only be a baby for a short amount of time compared to how long they'll be an adult.
