I was told I might have pcos but it was never confirmed, well I'm guessing I do because the last 3 years (basically since I was told) I started skipping periods, at first it was only 2 a year now it seems to be a lot more... Well I skipped last month I took a test to be safe, all was fine and I started the day before Christmas Eve, my curse never has good timing... Well it was about 11 days long which is normal for me, yesterday morning we dtd, everything seemed normal all day yesterday and we didn't do anything out of the ordinary for us either. Well I woke up having to pee and when I went to the bathroom I was bleeding... Very heavily, it doesn't look or feel like AF it seems more like a bad cut, I have never bled like this except when I m/c. But I know I'm not m/cing again because 0 symptoms neg test and 0 pain. I mean no pain at all just blood and a ton of it too. I'm a little scared because of it, we just moved and I don't have to money to go to the dr to find out that it's just AF come back if that's the case. Anyone experience this before?

Well, one thing you can do is try to follow a diabetic type diet (foods low on the glycemic index), exercise, and supplement with Vitamin D. Those are all things which help PCOS a lot, so if you do have it - you should see some improvement without having to see a doctor.

These are some classic signs of PCOS, though you can have any combination of symptoms. Some have them all, some have just a few:

irregular cycles
weight concentrated in the abdomen
being overweight, difficulty losing weight
being underweight, difficult gaining weight
extra hair growth on upper lip, chin, sideburns, around the belly button, nipple area
allergies to certain types of jewelry
acne in armpits or groin
darker skin on knuckles, inner thighs, neck

Some of the symptoms of PCOS include:
  • Infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating. ...
  • Infrequent, absent, and/or irregular menstrual periods.
  • Hirsutism (HER-suh-tiz-um) — increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes.
  • Cysts on the ovaries.
  • Acne, oily skin, or dandruff.
