I had a disruptive day yesterday (spent a good chunk of the day at the hospital, having my glucose tolerance test done as well as getting my rhogam shot), so my eating habits were all wonky. Had a very late dinner and went to bed. Halfway through the night, I started getting a cramp across my belly, above my navel. It felt like someone had taken a thin rope, ran it across my chest and was pulling it from behind me... a very specific, localized pain. It would come on, last for 10 minutes or so, then go away. Some time later, it would come back, and the same thing would happen. It's now 2PM and I'm still having these cramps off and on. I took a Zantac this morning with my daily vitamins, and managed to eat a muffin, but I can't say I'm hungry, though I probably should eat. Zantac hasn't helped. Took a 2 hour nap, too.

Any idea what this could be and how to deal with it? I'm just starting my 29th week. At least some consolation is that the baby is kicking, so I know he's okay... though his timing could be better! (I guess he takes after his dad on that one! lol)

Im not sure... It could be gas pains though? I would put a call in to you Dr or midwife and run it by them though. Any cramping at this point could indicate early labor, and you definitely need to know whats going on. Sorry I cant be more help, but I DO hope it improves soon!
