My father currently suffers shingles. I don't know where he got it but as far as I know you can only get shingles if you already acquired chicken pox. I haven't caught chicken pox yet ever since childhood and now I'm afraid that I could get chicken pox from him. In addition to that, I'm worried that I might be pregnant coz I'm not getting my period lately.

get tested to see if you are pregnant and while you are at the dr talk to them about shingles. my mom had it a yr ago and my lil brother and my kids who have never had chicken pox didnt get it from her, but it is possible to get contract it from someone who has it.

My nana had shingles a few years ago, that time she was very sick in hospital, and it was in summer. Since she can't move on bed, and the sheet was a bit humid, that might be the cause of her shingles.
