Hi .. I am new to JM. I have a question .. any advice would be great. I had my second C-section four weeks ago today. My incision seems to be infected. It seems to drain, and it has an odor to it. (sorry if that was TMI.. its pretty yucky)
Anyway, I was just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I went back to my OBGYN last week b/c of it, and he seemed to think it was no big deal. He told me to soak in the tub, keep it clean and dry. (which I have) but a weeks gone by and it has not changed. I have already called his office again, and I am waiting on a call back. I just wanted to know if anyone else ever had this happen. Thanks

I had it happen with my first son. The dr. gave me antibiotics and packed it with gauze. If your doctor doesn't do anything, I would consider going to another dr. The first doctor I went to wouldn't do anything to help it. I ended up having problems with it for years until I found a dr. that would actually do something.

Mine got infected I called the Dr and they told me to put Peroxide on it and make sure that it was dry. I did that for about 2-3 days and it got better. I noticed a diffrence after the 1st time that I used it. They said that as long as I did not have a fever then it was ok. I already had a appt to go in 3 days later and when I went it the Dr said that it looked great.

Thanks Jaidynsmum for my new siggy
