When you are in a time of distress or pain, have any of you discovered the part of you which is the observer? If you need me to explain further or give more info I can... but I was hoping to hear from you if you've discovered that part of yourself and if you've turned to it to ease human pain.

I take that to be the part of myself that steps back and sees the bigger picture. The one who sees things from all angles and goes from there.

If Im defining "observer" right then yes Ive seen that part of myself many times.

The Observer is the part of you that is free from human conditioning. It's the soul really. And, yes, it is the part of you that is able to see beyond human emotion and limitations.

Sometimes I think I function from this place too often as a way to not deal with the emotions and pain I am feeling. It has it's good points though, I can usually deal well in a crisis by functioning a step away and getting whatever needs to be done, done.

I definitely found it in the days following the loss of my dad.

It's probably something I don't turn to often enough, but then I'm not sure I can turn to it as a choice, because in my experience it just "kicked in" when needed.

I did this yesterday, and had a good cry. It was very refreshing.

If you learn to connect to it, you can access it at any time. I might add that intuition and clarity are never stronger than when you are able to sit as the observer.
