Hello I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls. I had my tubes tied after my second due to issues during pregnancy. We would love to have more children. My husband said that we should adopt in a few years when we are in a better financial position. Right now I am the only one working and he is receiving unemployment and going to school full time. I considered getting my tubal reversed but he said that there are children out there that need homes and we have the love for them, I totally agree. I researched a few things and we technically are above the 127% poverty level (don't really understand how that could be). We would love to adopt a child from Haiti but that is a much longer process and many more requirements. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

2 beautiful angels with me and 6 angels up in heaven.

I think it's awesome! I'd start saving as much as you guys can afford and keep doing research.

I think adoption is one of the best things you and your family will ever consider. Research all the options out there (domestic private adoptions, domestic adoptions through foster care, international adoptions) and look into what you and your family want to do. Save every penny you can for it. Depending on which option you pick, adoption can be a little costly... but there are grants and such. And when your husband finishes school and starts looking for a job he might even be able to find a place that has adoption benefits (many places are doing that now).

Good luck on your journey!!

Thank you to AlexAiden Mommy for my beautiful siggie!

We didn't think we could afford it either, but twice now, our family has gathered together to help us adopt. We are waiting for our baby #2 now. With the tax credit, it's almost more attainable that it used to be. If you want agency info, PM me and I can give you the name of ours. They are amazing and less expensive than others I researched.
