Hi Melissa and welcome to the adoption board. I'm sure we have some ladies here who can answer your question about fostering to adopt. How are your girls doing? I am so sorry about your loss, you certainly have been through more than anyone should ever endure. Big hugs to you!

No experience either, but I have a friend in Missouri that started out Fostering and then ended up adopting. I also use to baby sit for a couple who had done the same thing. I would say contact someone from your state and find out what all you need to do to become a foster parent and than go from there.

We fostered to adopt. We have two adopted children. Our story is up in the introductions. Do you have specific questions?

We fostered to adopt. We have adopted two boys and we hope to adopt more children. Each state is different but, you could ask me about it. I would have to tell you what our state does but, you could search online for more info. in your state or contact your local DFS office to get info. for your state.

We fost adopted three children last year. It has been incredible watching our kiddos grow and become sure of themselves!

After years of TTC with nothing to show but a miscarriage, we decided to adopt. Within a month, we heard of a sibling group of three that was to be up for adoption soon. Luckily, we are very close to their foster family and were able to get a lot of info about them. We decided to persue it, and we were selected!!! We fostered them for about 9 months before we finalized the adoption. It warms my heart every day to look at their faces.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
