Yesterday was a half day for my daughter's school. She's been in school for 2 weeks and already they have a half day? It seems like every month they have half days or days off. Cripes don't these kids ever go to school anymore?

Needless to say, Alexis did not deal well with the half day. She got so mad at 12 when they had the kids start packing up to go home. She screamed all the way to the bus, she screamed all the way home on the bus, and she screamed until I got her lunch on the table. I've never seen her this mad to be leaving school early. When she was in preschool (a 9-2 day 5 days a week) she never had a problem coming home early. I'm hoping this means she is really liking her new school. She's pretty noverbal and doesn't really know how to answer questions (other than multiple choice) so we kinda half to guess at how well she's adjusting to the new school and I'm thinking this is a good sign YEAH!!!!!!

How do your kids handle early dismissal days?
