Ok Ladies......It's time for me to vent! I am sooooo sick of being a housekeeper at work and home. Why do I bother...it's not like anyone notices what I do!!! My husband is disabled and of course, severely depressed. Needless to say for the last 6 months he hides in our bedroom, sleeps all day and is in a constant mood. I try to cheer him up and let him spend money thats not neccessary. (Example: DVD burner, Infinity Speakers and BassBox, Car starter....the list goes on and on!) That cheers him up for about a day!! He's being seeing a therapist for about a month, but I don't see any break through...haha! We got into a fight the other day.....I was mad that it's always about him. His feelings, his pain blah, blah, blah!! I am sooooo sick of it. I'm trying to be supportive, but ***....SNAP OUT OF IT!!! I truly hate my life. I don't think he'd give a #### if I left.....in fact, I KNOW he wouldn't. He tells me all the time that he doesn't care about anything anymore! Ok, I feel better letting some steam off. Thanks for listening!!

i am so sorry you are going through this! what has happened to your dh that he is like this? maybe it would help if you went to a therapist also to discuss your feelings - or even better, maybe you both could go see his therapist together. we're all here for ya whenever you need to blow off some steam!

Thanks!! DH was born with scoliosis/spinabifida. A severe curve is considered 20 degrees or more. DH's is currently 54 degrees. Because of this his ribs crush his right lung making it extremely hard to breath. His current lung capacity is 44%. We've been too so many specialist and there isn't anything more we can do. He is currently on a med. patch that was designed for cancer patients. It's very strong and causes depression. The pain is controlled with it, but the side effects are a real damper on our marriage. I made him see a therapist because he refuses to talk to me about his feelings. She has suggested marriage counselling, but DH is still warming up to the idea. Until then, I will wait. I love him, don't get me wrong....but it's very hard! Sometimes venting makes me feel a whole lot better!!!

You are one strong woman. I don't know if I could do it, so you are quite extrondinary! I commend you for holding everything together through all of this. Vent as much as you need to cause you deserve it.

HUGS I am sorry Maybe if you stop giving into him maybe he will straighten up !! he knows he can get away with being a butt so he does. if you stop he will see how good he had it and maybe he will straighten up !! being disabled doesn't give him a right to do that to you.

I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. My Mom is going through the same thing with my Dad. It is very painful to watch so it's hard to imagine going through it myself. You are very strong to hang in there even when it is so tough. Vent away, we are all here for you.
