"Hello, my name is Melissa and I have two beautiful daughters, Meghan (8) and Maddie (6). This past May we delivered our son, Jacob, who was sleeping at birth. We were 20 weeks pregnant. We were told he had bilateral regenisis which is a fancy way of saying he had no kidneys, so no lungs could develop and no aminiotic fluid. I had waited 5 years for my husband to agree to another child. He is convinced this was God's answer to my prayer. I can't and don't believe that. I still ache for another child but also ache for my Jacob. his due date has come and gone now. We celebrated Halloween and THanksgiving but it is not the same. I feel like our family is missing someone now. How can that be when I never even got to hear him cry? Thank you to all who have posted. It has helped to know I am not alone in this. "

Welcome to Justmommies Melissa & with sadness to our stillbirth board

I am so sorry for the loss of your son Jacob - I am confused by your husband's comment - does that mean that he thinks that because Jacob wasn't developed and was born asleep that that was your final chance at another child and he is not willing to TTC again. I understand your arms aching for your baby boy - mine ache for the baby girl I never got to hold - I have since had two beautiful boys but I still ache for my girl.

oh yeah should introduce myself! LOL

my name is Jennifer - I am the co-host of this stillbirth board - I lost my daughter Rebecca at 27 weeks gestation in October of 2003 for unknown reasons - I now have two beautiful boys Benjamin is 3.5 and Logan is 3 months old.

Big hugs and a sad welcome to you. I am so sorry your husband said that. That just seems so unfair to you.
