Kyle's EDD was 9/30/98. I woke up on 9/20 to leaking water, but not even a hint of a contraction. Called my dr. & he had me go to hospital to be checked to make sure. It was definitely my water breaking, so they started pitocin to induce contractions at around 10 am. Contractions started about an hour later & were basically mild until that night. The nurse came in around midnight to check me & see if I wanted pain meds. I said yes, & she gave me something in the IV that made me feel quite happy for about an hour. Then it wore off & I asked for more...she said I could only have it every 4 hours. At this point I was trying to hold off on the epidural but when they checked me around 3 am & I was only dilated to 3, I said bring on the epidural, I don't want to wait anymore! So the epi guy came about 30 min. later & it was soooo wonderful! I went to sleep until about 6:45, & then it was time to push. I pushed 3 times & 8lb 11oz Kyle Aaron was born at exactly 7:00 am. And even with a small episiotomy, I had absolutely no pain afterwards, not even sore. It was great!!

Oh well that's not fair... you sounded a lot like me but I DID have pain afterwards. And a ton of it! Hard time walking and everything! Lucky you!
