So, this is embarrassing, but whatever. Over the weekend, we never made it to the bank on Sat and i forgot about my automatic car payment withdrawl and to make a long story short, we had TEN, yes, count them, TEN overdrafts by the time i realized it Monday morning. UGH. I was devastated and did not want to tell DH, because EACH ONE is $30 well, i went into the bank today and had a little chat with the branch manager who reversed ALL the charges except one (and then removed overdraft on my account! LOL). I was just so appreciative of that. How was I going to tell DH that we had $300 in charges when he only made $303 last week due to snow days? whew. I gotta get more on top of this. I have a business account and i just have to transfer money more often into my personal account. But, lesson learned, it NEVER hurts to ask!

I've been through that a few times, so I feel your pain! It's such a horrid feeling. Thankfully we've usually had the charges refunded too. Indeed, it never hurts to ask!

Oh gosh and the heart attack you get from seeing that! A few years ago before I switched to the credit union I'm at now, the bank I used entered my paycheck incorrectly. So instead of entering 100.00 for example.. they entered 10.00! I had almost $500 in fees stacked up before I noticed. Luckily the problem was found and everything was reversed, entered correctly etc. I thought I'd have a heart attack though and it sucked!!!!!

Glad they reversed most of it!

Yikes! I'm glad you were able to get it reversed!

That has happened to us before. It was so scary, and they refused to reverse some so we ended up paying a ton.
