Hi Ladies! I introduced myself in the sticky, but I wanted to post here, too.

My name is Leslee, married to Adam, both 25 years old and from Oklahoma. We just had our first baby, a daughter named Annie. She was born 6 weeks premature and had a 3 week stay in the NICU, so part of my frugality is due to the cost of medical bills I am still paying.

My husband and I are both teachers. In Oklahoma that equals fairly low salary, but we love our jobs. Just this year I started teaching part-time reading. I love it! Adam and I hope that I will be able to continue to work part-time while Annie is little.

I am a frugal mommy because I grew up in a frugal home and old habits die hard! I am one of those people who rarely buy anything that's not on sale. I love grocery shopping because I'm a coupon clipper and I like to see my savings. My biggest weakness is eating out. DH and I used to go out about twice a week, but now that we have a baby, it's not so frequent. However, when we go out it usually costs $30 or so because I like food that I don't have to cook!

Anyway, I guess you could say that I am quasi-frugal! I would like to learn how to be even more thrifty, though. That's why I am here!

Thanks for reading my long winded intro!

We love you Angel Baby...snuggled in His arms at 14weeks

Hi! Congrats on your little one! People around here usually have some really good tips about saving money. Check out the financial planning board (a few below this) it also has a lot of helpful people with great ideas about money! Before I had our son I was also a teacher so I totally understand the low pay!
