I have been reading all about your great deals at CVS and I am trying to figure this out...Do I need a member card? How do the bucks work?

You do need an ExtraCare Card. You can apply for one online at CVS.com. Or you can get one at the store and use it immediately. It's free and fast. Here is my explanation of ExtraBucks from an earlier post.

There are two ways to earn ExtraBucks. One is just by spending money at CVS. They divide the year into quarters and give you 2% cash back on all your purchases for that quarter. After the quarter ends, your EB's will print on your receipt and can be used immediately.

The other way to earn EB's is to buy items that have EB's as a reward. They'll show all the items for the week in the flyer. Buy whatever item(s) they may be and the EB's will print out on your receipt. Some items have a limit of one transaction per item per card, but some have a limit of 3 or more. Check the fine print in the ad underneath the item. The only thing to remember about the EB's is that you must exceed the amount of the EB's when you redeem them because they will not give you change back.

You will need an extra care card. They have them at every register or should. The best thing to do is purchase something that you will use that will generate Extra Care Bucks (ECB). Then use those ECB's just like cash to purchase something else that will generate more ECB's. For example say you need Tylenol products.

Buy 2 childrens Tylenol cold (most of the ones at the store had peelie coupons for $1 off) that is $12
and 1 Tylenol pm that is $8.50

use 2 $1 peelie coupons and you can print $1 off Tylenol coupons from http://www.valuesforhealth.com/page.jhtml?...include/2_0.inc

Then go to the link in the coupon forum to print CVS coupon for $4/20 purchase.

Your total should be $20.50 before tax. Minus 3 $1 off coupons and the $4 coupon, so $13.50 plus tax. Then that will generate $10 ECB's to buy something else.

Thanks so much!!! I have been reading all the good deals everyone is getting and then I practically found a CVS at the end of the block! I had no clue it was there...I am not very observant and I usually shop at the same 5 stores.... So I thought I'd give it a try

Thanks Again!
