Well, we are in search of adopting a German Shepherd. May take awhile as we need one that gets along with male and female dogs, cats, and kids, but we have begun our search. I filled out an application on a 10 month old one through a rescue and hoping their board chooses us as the best match for him. should know on him by the end of the week. If not we may have to go through a rescue in CA as our local GSD rescue won't adopt out to families that already have 2 dogs . It may take awhile, but we're not in a rush, definitely willing to wait for the dog that will fit with our family. I may be nuts to end up with 3 large dogs, but we're excited too and hoping our 2 year old Boxer will enjoy a playmate as my 9 year old Boxer is slowing down and not interested in playing at this point.

Fun!! Its always exciting to get another dog. I told DH if we won the lottery I'd open a dog rescue, and we'd live right with them, lol! He wasn't too keen...

We're not rushing anything definitely and not settling. We know what personality and type of dog we want and age so we're sticking to that. So it may take awhile I don't know. But I'm at least filling out applications.

I know my 2 year old Boxer would LOVE a playmate as my 9 year old Boxer just isn't wanting to play. So we'll see how it goes over the next few weeks/months. Fingers crossed!
