Just thought I would drop in. I do own a dog, Gizmo, a sheltie and will be getting another from the Sheltie rescue I'm joining as a volunteer.

I love animals and should have dropped in here sooner.....got a question for you!

Where do you put the water bowl for the dog, when your DD thinks it is great fun to dump and play in?????????? Help! Anyone have this problem? Otherwise DD is awesome with dogs and Gizmo loves her!

I have the same problem with DS, but I've left the water bowl on the kitchen floor by the door. I just yell at him when he plays in it. Quite frankly, I couldn't figure out a good place to put it either. Sorry

Don't shoot me, but we let our dog get water from the toilet. He prefers it better (I swear he knows that with every flush it is fresher than a bowl that has sat out for a while). He'll even stand there and wait for me to flush it even if it is clean! He is soo funny.

Otherwise we have one outside that dh usually fills up, but our dog doesn't use it most of the time. He likes to have fresh water and will wait for us to use a hose to put water in the bowl and will just drink off the hose. So we leave a bowl out, but he still goes to the toilet.

Ok, that was kinda my thoughts too. Just try and catch her before she gets to it.

We do have a bowl outside, but they need water inside too! LOL Guess I just need to be quick on my feet to catch her!
