squirt bottle maybe?

cat bites that are light, not meant to hurt, are actually signs of affection. i know that sometimes that 'love bite' can become a little rough, but it's instinct.

when it comes to a painful, aggresive bite, they should only do that when they feel threatened. remove what ever is bothering them (another cat, child, etc) and they shouldn't do it.

in terms of training a cat not to, i'm not sure.

A Squirt bottle is a way to make them afraid of a squirt bottle, and possibly you as well.

How to get the cat to stop biting depends on why the cat is biting.
