I got a puppy today from a lady who obviously could not take care of them, she is covered in fleas, I have gave her two baths, the last one with kill flea shampoo but I cannot seem to kill those last few. I have taken her outta the tub and dried her to warm her and give her a break but I cannot let her go to bed tonite like this. any suggestions on how to kill these things???

Piper- 02/12/07
Camden- 02/27/08
Ryker- 01/12/10
Atticus- 05/26/11Tatum- 06/07/12

Currently TTC the final piece to our puzzle.

You don't have to ask, yes we know what causes it, and since you're asking and dont, google might be a nice place to start.

De-flea your house tomorrow or you will never get rid of them, vacuum anywhere the dog has been. We used carpet powder when Cooper brought home fleas and wash all your laundry.

If the flea infestation is that bad, you may need to call either a groomer or your veterinarian, and have her flea dipped.

I agree with the previous poster, you do need to de-flea your home and areas the puppy has been, right away...
Good luck to you.

How old is she? You have to be careful about what flea products you use on pups. You can bathe her in lemon dawn dish detergent. It always seems to get them off. If not take a pair of tweezers and jsut go through her hair and pick the little devils off. they also have a powder stuff called domenicous(sp) earth, and it's supposed to be good at killing them and safe for pups.
